The Centre for mRNP Biogenesis and Metabolism investigates functional and structural aspects of the formation, regulation and quality control of mRNP. Moreover, we study the occurrence, surveillance and putative function of pervasive transcription of eukaryotic genomes. Scientific expertises and available tools within the centre produce a framework for the investigation of these issues from the atomic to the cellular level.
History and background
The Centre for mRNP Biogenesis and Metabolism was established in July 2005 by the Danish National Research Foundation and is headed by Professor Torben Heick Jensen. In the fall 2009 the centre signed a new contract with the Danish National Research Foundation to continue centre activities for a new 5-year period 2010-2015.
